St. Denys Lodge No. 9032
Consecrated May 1982
St. Denys Lodge was consecrated in May 1982 and became the 4th craft lodge based in Sleaford. The membership is taken from all walks of life and is diverse both in terms of age, we have members in their early 20’s right the way through to members in their 80’s, and occupation and this gives the lodge a good cross section of society.
The lodge is a welcoming and happy lodge and strives to be a fun place to be whilst still maintaining the decorum and gravitas that is required. As the youngest lodge in Sleaford our traditions do not go back as far as some lodges, but we are mindful that Freemasonry is steeped in tradition and we strive to live up to the high ideals and morals of our predecessors.
The lodge meets every 1st Wednesday in September, October, November, February, March, April and June at the Sleaford Masonic centre in Watergate. The meetings start at 6:30pm and usually comprise a business meeting and ceremony followed by a meal (the Festive Board) where members enjoy each other’s company and discuss the evenings activities along with other topics. The installation of the new Master takes place at the June meeting.
St Denys lodge also holds a couple of social events each year the main event being the Ladies Night which is usually held in April. At this event the members say thank you to their spouses for putting up with their masonic activities during the year. We have also been known to have a Christmas disco and following on from the current lockdown we hope to arrange more social events and family days out.
